As many as four incidents came to light on Thursday of politicians, of both the BJP and the Congress, abusing their power. From Haryana to Madhya Pradesh to Bihar, here's a breakdown of each incident of VIPs and their kin on a power trip.

1. Haryana CM pushes man seeking a selfie

Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar pushed aside a man who was trying to take a selfie with him at an event in Karnal.

While Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is besieged with selfie-seekers at events, welcomes them happily, Chief Minister ML Khattar aggressively pushed away a man's arm when he was in his way and didn't ask before taking a selfie with him.

2. Ambulance, police vehicles escort Madhya Pradesh CM's kin

The second incident is about another chief minister. VVIP treatment was given to Madhya Pradesh CM Kamal Nath's kin at the Mahakal temple in Ujjain. Teams of the state police along with an ambulance were seen escorting the CM's family members to the temple.

Ordinary citizens were also barred from offering darshan till Kamal Nath's kin were inside the temple. And in a complete breach of protocol, over six police and official vehicles were busy touring the city with the Congress leader's relatives.

3. Congress MLA threatens cop in Jhabua over traffic penalty

In another incident from Madhya Pradesh, a Congress MLA was seen arguing with a police officer in Jhabua over a traffic penalty issued to three of his supporters for driving with three people on a bike.

The incident, which occurred on Tuesday and was caught on camera, saw Veer Singh Bhuria, a Congress MLA from Thandla, furiously arguing over a traffic penalty and then threatening the cop.

The legislator's attempt to downplay the situation, however, failed to deter the policeman from doing his job. The latter was heard asking the Madhya Pradesh lawmaker to support the implementation of the law instead of opposing it.

4. BJP MLA's kin thrashes shopkeeper in Bihar

A BJP MLA's family member was seen thrashing a medical shopkeeper in Bihar's Bettiah because the shopkeeper allegedly did not show him enough respect.

When the MLA's kin went inside the chemist shop, the shopkeeper did not get up immediately to show respect to the brother of BJP national vice-president and former Bihar minister Renu Devi. The shopkeeper was then beaten up by the leader's brother Pinu, the CCTV footage showed
