YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has also decided to launch a judicial enquiry into the contract allotment of several of the projects allotted during the TDP regime.

YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, who sworn in as Andhra Pradesh CM on May 30, expanded his cabinet on June 8. Jagan Mohan Reddy, after that, passed government order (GO MS NO 59) on Thursday ordering the renaming of the NTR Vaidya Seva (a scheme named after TDP founder and former chief minister NT Rama Rao) as YSR Arogyasri (after former CM YS Rajasekhar Reddy who is also father of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy).

The scheme was launched by YSR in 2009 during his second term as chief minister and it was launched as Rajiv Gandhi Arograsri, and later when the TDP came into power, it was renamed as NTR ARogyaseva.

It's not only the healthcare scheme but Chandrababu Naidu government flagship scheme Anna NTR Canteen, launched in 2018 providing food at Rs 5, has also got a new nomenclature with new government calling it Rajanna Canteen as people used to call YSR Rajanna.

In his first cabinet meeting which was held on Monday, the new Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy also signed the enhanced pension for old age and also renamed the NTR Bharosa scheme name to YSR Pension Kanuka.

"The new government [YSRCP] is busy naming the scheme. NTR belongs to not a party but he is the pride of Andhra Pradesh. Earlier, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has only announced the renaming of Krishna district to NTR district and now he is changing names of all those schemes launched by the TDP government. It is not at all a good practice," Lanka Dinakar, TDP leader, said.

The TDP has opposed the renaming of schemes.
