The security forces in Jammu and Kashmir have been on high alert ever since the Pulwama terror attack orchestrated by Pakistan-based terror outfit Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) on February 14 killed 40 CRPF jawans.
On Saturday, the authorities made heavy deployment of security forces in the Kashmir valley ahead of the Supreme Court hearing on Article 35A on Monday. The police and paramilitary forces have been deployed in large numbers many areas in Srinagar.
Meanwhile, the separatists called for shutdown in the valley after Centre launched a massive crackdown on separatists on Saturday. The government detained over 150 people including Jamaat-e-Islami chief Abdul Hamid Fayaz Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) chief Yasin Malik.
