Jharkhand Congress in-charge RPN Singh has been served a notice for violating the model code of conduct for holding a press conference on November 8th in Ranchi.
Jharkhand Congress in-charge RPN Singh has been served a notice for violating the model code of conduct for holding a press conference on November 8th in Ranchi. RPN Singh had briefed the media jointly with the working president of JMM Hemant Soren on the seat-sharing formula.
Confirming about the notice, Sadar SDO of Ranchi, Lokesh Mishra said, " We have asked him about the event that was organised at the press club of Ranchi and why he did not bother to inform the administration or EC keeping in view the model code of conduct. If he fails to reply, the EC will treat the meeting as a violation of model code of conduct and will lodge an FIR against RPN Singh."
Model code of conduct is effective in the poll-bound Jharkhand after assembly elections dates were announced on November 1st.
Meanwhile, RPN Singh has said that he has not to received any notice.
