Incessant rainfall in Rajasthan's Pushkar town has led to a flood-like situation in the region.

Pushkar is a known tourist destination in the Ajmer district of Rajasthan.

Hotels near the Sarovar were inundated with 8 to 10 feet of water, which has left many people stranded.

However, the district administration carried out rescue operations and many of the tourists staying in the hotels were reportedly evacuated from the inundated areas.

State police, civil defence, and rescue committees have been trying to rescue other tourists and people in various hotels in Pushkar.

The India Met Department (IMD) has predicted heavy to very heavy rainfall in Rajasthan for the next two days.

The weather body has further predicted widespread rains in several parts of north-west India for the next four-five days.
