SpiceJet flight makes priority landing at Kolkata airport after bird hits nose of jet

A SpiceJet aircraft travelling from Dibrugarh made a priority landing at Kolkata airport n Thursday.

The aircraft made the landing after a bird hit the plane.

The captain of the flight contacted air traffic control after the bird hit the aircraft while it was landing.

Reports have confirmed that all passengers travelling on the SpiceJet flight are safe. They are currently waiting at the Kolkata airport.

However, the nose of the aircraft was damaged after the bird hit it. The repairing work on the aircraft is going on.

The incident comes two days after a SpiceJet flight from Dubai with a burst tyre landed safely at the Jaipur international airport.
