Unnao rape survivor medically not fit to give statement, say doctors
Sources say that the rape survivor’s health is in serious condition and she is not in a position to speak.
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is yet to record a statement of Unnao rape survivor in connection with the accident case which left her critically injured.
India Today TV has learnt that agency had approached the doctors at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) to record the statement of the rape survivor but doctors told the officials that she is still not medically fit to record any statement.
Sources say that the rape survivor’s health is in serious condition and she is not in a position to speak.
Meanwhile, sources said, the investigating agency has conducted brain mapping test of the truck driver and cleaner at Central Forensic Sciences Laboratory in Gandhinagar. The final report of the test is awaited.
Earlier, the two were subjected to polygraph test in Delhi.
Both were arrested by the CBI on suspicion that the accident may be a conspiracy by former BJP MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar.
The rape survivor met with a deadly accident on July 28, when the car in which she was travelling, collided with a truck while she was on her way from Unnao to Rae Bareli.
The truck owner, Devendra Kishore Pal, however, has told the CBI that Kuldeep Singh Sengar or the victim, is not known to him and it was just an unfortunate accident. When asked why his truck number was purposely blackened, sources said the truck owner told the CBI that they had applied grease on the number plate to save truck from getting seized by the bank due to non-payment of EMIs.
Kuldeep Singh Sengar, prime accused in the Unnao rape case, has denied his involvement in the conspiracy behind the accident. The court has framed charges of raping a minor against Sengar.
The Supreme Court on Monday gave the CBI two more weeks to complete the probe in the accident case. A team of 40 officials, including forensic experts, are working on this case.
