Pregnant Meghan Markle and Prince Harry will soon welcome their first child into the Royal family in April, 2019. To celebrate this huge moment in the Duchess of Sussex’s life, her friends arranged a secret baby shower in New York City.
While her celebrity friends like Amal Clooney, Serene Williams, and Abigail Spencer among others attended the party, Meghan’s BFF Priyanka Chopra gave it a miss.
Meghan and Priyanka’s friendship has been the talk of the town ever since the Desi girl attended her royal wedding last year.
Though Meghan skipped Priyanka’s marriage to Nick Jonas, due to her pregnancy, the Duchess explained their friendship as, "You know when you meet someone and you just click?"
So Priyanka’s absence from the party was a surprise.
But seems there is no bad blood between the two. Priyanka missed the baby shower because she had work commitments in Los Angeles.
Reportedly, she was busy with the meetings for a book that she is writing.
The two apparently keep in touch through email and texts and Priyanka is also one of the choices for becoming the godparent of Prince Harry and Meghan’s child.
