Smriti Irani recently attended the Day 2 of Lakme Fashion Week 2019. At the event, she met a model from Rajasthan whose inspiring story touched her heart and she shared the video on Instagram.
BJP minister Smriti Irani is once again winning hearts all over the internet and this time it because of a video that she shared with a model of from Lakme Fashion Week 2019.
The Textile Minister recently attended the Day 2 of Lakme Fashion Week 2019 in Mumbai to inaugurate the largest initiative towards sustainable fashion.
At the Fashion Week Smriti met a model from Rajasthan whose heartwarming story touched her immensely and she took to Instagram account to share the video with her followers. She shared the video saying, "When fashion was not the only take away from @lakmefashionwk."
In the video, Smriti introduced the model Nisha Yadav and her story of immense struggle and finally achieving success in life through hard work.
The minister revealed that Nisha’s story is special not because she is a model, but also because she is studying law from Rajasthan University while modelling at LFW 2019. She also revealed that the third year student, who is practicing law in Delhi, used to walk 6 kms every day so that she could go to school and attend classes in Rajasthan.
According to Smriti’s video, Nisha was also forced by her father to marry early but when she protested he asked her to leave home. Her four sisters helped her out, but they were also asked to leave home. In the clip, one can also see the minister consoling the model and feeling proud of the way she shined despite the problems.
Smriti ended her video by saying; "There is a story behind many faces at the Lakme Fashion Week, you see the glamour, you see the glory. They also hide a lot of tears." She also told Nisha how proud she was of her and her four sisters.
Smriti’s popularity in politics is unbeatable, but it is not just there where the minister is winning hearts of her followers. She has an unbeatable presence on social media too. And this video is just a perfect example of that.
