Delhi: Two young siblings hang themselves to death

The siblings have been identified as Kunal Aggarwal (27) and Gaurav Aggarwal (24). A PCR call was received by police at 12.30 pm on Monday after which a police team reached the spot and found the duo hanging with ceiling fans. They were declared brought dead by the doctors.

Two siblings in their twenties allegedly committed suicide by hanging themselves at their residence in West Delhi's Janakpuri area, police said on Monday. A suicide note has been found that reads that they themselves are responsible for the extreme step.

The siblings have been identified as Kunal Aggarwal (27) and Gaurav Aggarwal (24). A PCR call was received by police at 12.30 pm on Monday after which a police team reached the spot and found the duo hanging with ceiling fans. They were declared brought dead by the doctors.

During investigation, it was learnt that Sushil Kumar, father of both deceased brothers is paralysed for the last 20 years and mother of deceased brothers expired on 23 March this year due to cancer.

"Both brothers were graduated from private Engineering colleges of Narela and Siraspur Delhi. Sushil Kumar is a railway contractor and both used to work with him, but after the death of mother both were depressed and not helping their father. Both disappeared from the house about one and half month ago.

They came on Sunday night at about 9.30 pm," said a senior police official. A suicide note also found on the table of room wherein they had written that they are responsible for their suicide and in this, there is the fault of none, police said. Inspection from mobile crime team west and FSL team conducted. Prima facie suggests no foul play. Further investigation is underway, police said.
