The two accused were arrested for robbing foreign nationals.

Gurugram police arrested two members of Irani gang in connection with robbing $2,000 from two people of Turkmenistan nationality in November.

The accused, Tayyab (59) and Ahshan (33), residents of Tehran, were arrested from Lajpat Nagar area in South East Delhi on Monday afternoon.

The victims came to Gurugram on a medical visa for treatment in Artemis Health Care Institute.

In a complaint to police, the victims, named Kadyr Hayytbayev and his sister Sanam Hayytbayev, were walking on the street outside their guest house when they were intercepted by three persons.

"It was a blind case for us as the victims were unable to give us the vehicle's registration number during the incident.

The crime branch officials activated informers and one of them gave us a tip about two persons living in Lajpat Nagar," said Preet Pal Singh, ACP of crime branch.
