Voters outside the polling booth in the Delhi's North-East constituency demanded women safety, more employment opportunities and an upgrade of the vicinity.

The elderly, first time-voters and youth were major participants to caste their votes on Sunday. For a first-time voter, it was a great moment for excitement.

"I am happy to cast my vote here. I have voted for development and more employment opportunities. We are young voters and our government should create more jobs for us," said Mansi Sharma, 21, a graduate student.

The constituency saw a polling percentage of 63.45 per cent.

"I have voted for my country. I have voted for people of this country," said Dikshit.
