When a video of Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt seemingly having a heated argument at the screening of Gully Boy went viral, netizens believed that the writing was on the wall for the couple.

However, the very next day, Ranbir and Alia quashed the rumours of a rift in style by celebrating Valentine's Day with a romantic dinner. In an interview with a newspaper, the actress talked about how she rang in Valentine's Day.

"I was definitely Valentining on that day. Since I've been promoting Gully Boy, I had a late night and woke up late on Valentine's Day. I was flooded with messages and greetings about our film along with some Valentine's greetings and some marriage proposals from strangers as well," she laughed.

Since Gully Boy released on that day, Alia ended up spending a lot of time with her co-star Ranveer Singh for promotions. "There was time for Ranbir also, don't worry," she laughed.

Love blossomed between Ranbir and Alia during the making of Ayan Mukerji's Brahmastra. Since the couple has been going strong and has hit several relationship milestones, from bonding with each other's families to going on romantic getaways together.

The grapevine was abuzz with rumours that Ranbir and Alia were planning to take their relationship to the next level and get married in the near future. However, the actress rubbished the news and said at a recent event that they were planning to tie the knot anytime soon.

"I think people should now take a break. We have had two beautiful weddings last year. I think we can chill now, watch movies, work in movies, and rest can be seen later," she said.
