A video of a huge crocodile sitting on top of a house in flood-hit area of Belgaum in Karanataka has emerged online and it has gone viral online.

The video was shared on Twitter by news agency ANI, with the caption, "A crocodile lands on roof of a house in flood-affected Raybag taluk in Belgaum. #Karnataka."

The video was shot at Raybag taluk in Belgaum, which is one of the worst-affected districts in Karnataka. In the video, one can see a crocodile sitting on the roof of a house submerged completely in the water.

In the 15-second viral video, the crocodile can be seen sitting with its mouth open on the roof and the people who shot the video can be seen talking in the background.

This is not the first time though that a crocodile was spotted after floods in a particular area. Similar incidents took place in flood-affected areas of Gujarat too.

A lot of videos surfaced after flood fury unfolded in Gujarat’s Vadodara. In fact, rescue operations were also undertaken in Vadodara after a lot of crocodiles were spotted inside cities. A video of a team of National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) workers went viral on Twitter after they were seen rescuing a crocodile in the streets.

On Saturday, Chief Minister Yediyurappa had conducted an aerial survey and announced Rs 5 lakh compensation to next of kin of the deceased.
