Elephant waits to cross busy street in viral video from Jharkhand. Learn some traffic sense, says Internet

A video of an elephant waiting patiently to cross a busy street has surfaced on social media. The 29-second video has been posted on Twitter by Parveen Kaswan of the Indian Forest Service and is being shared frequently across social media.

The elephant, somewhere near the Dalma Wildlife Sanctuary in Jharkhand, was waiting to cross the street as cars and trucks passed by. It was patient enough and did not budge the passengers in the vehicles on the street.

In his caption for the tweet, Kaswan also shared facts about elephants. "Learn some traffic sense from this #tusker. Or he is just figuring out how to tackle this road which has come up on his way. #Elephants live for 60-70 years so they remember all their traditional routes of #migration. This one is forwarded from near Dalma," he said in his post.

The internet is considerably annoyed after watching the video and posted angry comments. "Poor thing is so clueless...mute creatures are victims of unsustainable human development," a user wrote in the comments section.
