"The Price is Right Live" rolls into Indianapolis Friday, Feb. 22 for a 7:30 p.m. show at Clowes Hall on the Butler University campus.

Hoosiers will have the chance to compete for cash and prizes by attempting to correctly guess the prices of items such as a karaoke machine or a bag of Reese's Peanut Butter Cups.

Fans 18 and older can show up at the Clowes Hall or IU Auditorium box offices beginning at 4:30 p.m. on the day of the show to register as a contestant (no ticket required). Registration closes at 7:30 p.m., but potential participants are encouraged to show up early to avoid long lines.

Those selected during a backstage, random drawing at the beginning of the show will earn the chance to compete. Contestants must be present to win. Those who don't have tickets can wait in a designated area and will be notified if they've been selected.

Prizes vary from city to city, but vacation packages, cash and a new car are likely safe bets. Noncompeting audience members will also have the chance to win prizes from their seats.

The Price is Right Live! comes to the American Bank Center Tuesday.

While "The Price is Right" host Drew Carey will not, regrettably, be emceeing the evening, the show will feature a celebrity master of ceremonies. He or she has not yet been revealed, but Jerry Springer, Todd Newton and Marc Summers have hosted past editions of the show.

Butler Arts Center Executive Director Aaron Hurt said the Indianapolis show is essentially sold out, but a few limited-view seats remain, which can be purchased in person at the Clowes Hall box office

Tickets for the Bloomington show range from $34.50 to $54.50. They are available online at the IU Auditorium website

"The Price is Right" debuted on CBS in 1972. After more than 8,000 episodes, it's the longest-running game show in U.S. television history.
