What you need to know about Indiana Comic Con in Indianapolis

Indiana Comic Con is set to bring Indianapolis' favorite comic book weekend back downtown.

The event hosts everything from comic book creators and celebrities to video games, clothing and toys of your favorite characters.

According to Indiana Comic Con, the event started with nearly 20,000 attendees in 2014 and garnered an attendance of 55,100 in 2018.

When is Indiana Comic Con?

Indiana Comic Con runs Aug. 30- Sept. 1. Hours are noon to midnight Friday, 10 a.m. to midnight Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. The Exhibit Hall closes at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

Where is Indiana Comic Con?

The event takes place the Indiana Convention Center, 100 S. Capitol Ave., Indianapolis.

How much are tickets?

Cost is $30 for Friday or Sunday, and $40 for Saturday. A three-day pass is $60. Children 12 and younger are free. Tickets are non-refundable.

What can I do at Indiana Comic Con?

The event offers after-hours entertainment, celebrity panels, contests, comic creator panels, an escape room, game rooms, improv comedy and vendors. The panel schedule can be found online and is subject to change without notice. 

As an added bonus, the official event poster created by guest artist Julian Tedesco will be available for free while supplies last.

Are there celebrity autographs or photo opportunities?

You can get both. All autographs and photo opportunities are cash only during Exhibit Hall hours in their designated areas. Autographs range from $25-$60 each. Photos range from $15-$60 per photo and can include up to two adults and four children. Schedules are available on the free Indiana Comic Convention phone app. 

Can I dress in cosplay?

Cosplay is always encouraged, and you can join in the costume parade. Visit the FAQ for more information on dos and don'ts for Indiana Comic Con.
