Payless Shoesource to close all of its stores, including at least 25 in Indiana

Payless Shoesource will close all of its U.S. stores, according to a Reuters report. The chain plans to file for bankruptcy this month for the second time in two years. 

The budget shoe chain has more than 2,700 stores across the U.S., including at least 25 locations in Indiana. 

Payless announced the plan to liquidate after attempts to find a buyer were unsuccessful, according to Reuters. Payless had previously filed for bankruptcy in April 2017, and exited with about $400 million in loans. 

Sources told Reuters the company is planning to run going-out-of-business sales at its shops next week.
