Indianapolis man dies from injuries in Boone County crash; four others remain hospitalized

Nyab Ksor, a 50-year-old man from Indianapolis, died as the result of a Thursday evening crash in Boone County, according to police. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Police did not release information while his family was being notified.

Four others injured in the crash remain hospitalized. Their identities have not been released. A sixth person, the driver of the semi, refused treatment and was not taken to the hospital. Police believe the driver of the semi, traveling on Indianapolis Road, failed to stop at a stop sign, striking the passenger car traveling on Ind. 267.

Six people were injured in a two-vehicle collision in Boone County on Thursday, police said.

Officers from the Whitestown Police Department, Boone County Sheriff's Department and multiple emergency medical services agencies responded at about 5:19 p.m. to a report of a collision between a semitrailer truck and a passenger car at the intersection of Ind. 267 and Indianapolis Road.

Five people who were seriously hurt in the crash were transported to area hospitals for treatment of injuries, according to a news release from the Whitestown Police Department. They were all passengers in the car.

Medical workers who arrived at the scene initially treated the car's occupants and one occupant of the semi.

The severity of the injuries has led the Boone County Fatal Alcohol Crash team to investigate the crash. Alcohol is "believed to be a contributing factor at this time," police said.

According to the release, the semi was headed south on Ind. 267 and the car was headed east on Indianapolis Road, when the crash occurred.

Police have not yet released identifications of the victims.
