Indianapolis crime: Body found in south side pond

Indianapolis police are investigating after a body was found Tuesday night in a south side pond.

According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, the body was found around 7:30 p.m. in the first block of North 25th Avenue. 

Police said the pond is located in a residential area.

Additional information about the incident has not been released, and the deceased has not been identified.
