Indianapolis crime: Man shot and killed on the east-side

Indianapolis police are investigating after a man was shot and killed late Wednesday on the east side.

According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, the shooting happened shortly before 11:40 p.m. in the 2300 block of Barnor Drive.

Officers called to the scene located a man suffering from apparent gunshot wounds, police said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Additional information about the shooting has not been released, and the victim has not yet been identified.
