Federal, state and local police began serving warrants in the Indianapolis area Monday morning.

"The FBI and our federal, state and local law enforcement partners are conducting a series of coordinated raids around Indianapolis," FBI spokesperson Chris Bavender said in an email to IndyStar.

The FBI said the raids at multiple locations are related to drug activity. Authorities did not disclose exactly where the raids are happening.

Witnesses reported seeing police vehicles at a home in the 800 block of North Leland Avenue on the east side at about 7 a.m.
