Indianapolis traffic: Plan ahead for these highway closures and restrictions this weekend

The cooler weather is finally making an appearance, but construction season isn't quite over yet.

The Indianapolis Department of Transportation announced a new slew of closures for this weekend, including a full closure on I-65. Like last weekend, contractors will be in five locations throughout Marion County resurfacing pavement and strengthening bridges. Maintenance workers will be repairing barrier walls and guardrails, clearing drains and fixing lights.

Here are all the details:

Plans keep falling through to redevelop the GM stamping plant. Here's what we know.

Full closure

Closure: Starting at 9 p.m. Friday, all lanes of I-65 from I-465 to the North Split — where I-65 and I-70 meet on the city's north side — will be closed.
