Week 1 of high school football is in the books, and there were plenty of eye-popping performances. But which one was the best? You decide. Read about the performances from our nominees below, and then cast your votes in the poll.

David Baker, Scecina

The IU commit put on a show in Scecina's 28-6 win over Shenandoah. He had four receptions for 57 yards and a touchdown, and added three interceptions on defense. 

Drew Byerly, Franklin

The Franklin quarterback made his presence felt with his arm and his legs in Franklin's 27-17 win over Danville. He threw for 166 yards on 13-of-26 passing and added 136 yards on 24 carries to go with three scores.

Gage Coffey, Covenant Christian

Coffey made his mark in Covenant's 21-8 win over Howe, scoring three touchdowns and grabbing three interceptions.

Daylen Hall, Cathedral

Hall found the end zone three times while rushing for 184 yards on nine carries. He had scoring runs of 7, 45 and 72 yards.

Alijawon Hassell, Ben Davis

Ben Davis came up short against Brownsburg, but Hassell did everything he could for the Giants. He had 104 yards on on 19 carries, and also threw a 12-yard touchdown pass.

Houston Swan, Eastern Hancock

Swan threw for a school-record six touchdowns in Eastern Hancock's 42-13 win against Northwestern, 

Charlie Spegal, New Palestine

Probably won't be the last time Spegal makes this list, but he sure made an impression in Week 1. His numbers from the Dragons' Week 1 win against Kokomo: 16 carries, 184 yards, four touchdowns. All four of his scores came in the first half.

Daylen Taylor, Chatard

Taylor might have had one of the most efficient nights in the state, carrying the ball 19 times for 97 yards and scoring four touchdowns in the Trojans' 49-14 win over Brebeuf. He scored from 5, 17, 7 and 9 yards out.

Peyton Wall, Leo

Wall ran wild in Leo's 36-0 win over Woodlan, scoring four times and rushing for 251 yards.
