FARGO — A new office building may be headed to the site of a former Tesoro service station at the corner of University Drive and 13th Avenue South in Fargo.
According to city records, Swanson Properties has applied for a permit to "construct shell only for a future office building" at 1301 S. University Drive. The permit had not yet been approved Thursday, April 18, according to the city's plan routing website.
Tesoro sold the property after removing underground storage tanks in 2013.
The lot was paved last summer. At the time, Kerry Fernholz, a spokesman for Sweeto Burrito, said the site would soon be home to a Sweeto Burrito food truck and that it was possible other food trucks would also park there.
A phone number listed online for Swanson Properties was disconnected or not accepting calls. A message left with Starmark Hospitality, a Fargo business associated with Sweeto Burrito and believed to have ties to Swanson Properties, was not returned as of late Thursday afternoon.
