FARGO - A Scoop N Dough ice cream and candy shop and a Cottage Table coffee and sandwich shop are planned for the BLU 32 upscale retail development at 4600 32nd Ave. S., according to city records.
Josh Ulrich, who owns the Scoop N Dough shop in downtown Fargo, is the owner.
“Cottage Table will be a comfortable spot to hang out with family, friends, and coworkers, and will include homestyle sandwiches, soups, coffee and more,” Urlich wrote in an email reply to The Forum on Tuesday, Aug. 20.

“Scoop N Dough will be the same place people have enjoyed downtown and more. Plans are for a much larger store with more ice cream cookie dough, popcorn and candy. New to Scoop N Dough will be fresh cotton candy and toys! Need a gift? We’ll wrap them for you!” Ulrich wrote. “Both stores will be a fun destination.”

Ulrich said there are no plans to close the downtown Scoop N Dough.
The design and fit-up costs for spaces 128 and 132 in BLU 32 are listed as $275,000, planning department documents show.
“We are excited to be part of this community,” Ulrich said.
Scoop N Dough opened May, 17, 2018, at 206 Roberts Alley N., and received a good reception for its selection of edible cookie dough and hard-serve ice cream flavors, popcorn and candy.
Ulrich told The Forum then that he had opened the ice cream and candy shop because he wanted to be part of downtown Fargo's vibrant business scene.
