With temperatures cooling from the recent warm spell, here are some fun ways to spend your time inside this weekend.

‘Picturing Nam’ reception

Thursday, April 25

The Vietnam War ended 44 years ago this month, but the conflict is hardly a distant memory as the events that transpired shaped the way society now views military deployments. The photographic show  “Picturing Nam: U.S. Military Photography of the Vietnam War” displays some of the evocative images from the National Archives in the Roland Dille Center for the Arts, Minnesota State University Moorhead through May 25. From jungles to cities, swamps to ships, military photographers captured the feeling and mood of war. A reception for the exhibit will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, April 25.

Friday & Saturday

Parenting is filled with joy and stress and lots of awkward moments you're not sure if you should laugh at. Theatre B, 215 10th St. N., Moorhead, taps into all of the emotions for the comedy, “Cry It Out.” Molly and Lina have little in common, other than being new moms. The blossoming friendship gets cloudy when an outside third mother works her way into their coffee klatch. The show starts at 7:30 p.m. Friday, April 26, and Saturday, April 27, and runs the next three weekends. Tickets range from $7 to $25;  http://www.theatreb.org  or 701-729-8880.

Friday

Fargo-Moorhead artists have paid tribute to Bob Dylan, Johnny Cash and Tom Petty, and now it’s time for Neil Young to get some more love. “Rockin’ in the Free World” isn't just a great Young song, it's the third nod to the legendary singer-songwriter and members of The Human Element, Boots, The Pat Lenertz Band, Deb Jenkins and Rick Todd bands will jam out some of the guitarist's greatest numbers. The venue has moved this year to Sanctuary Events Center, 670 Fourth Ave. N., Fargo, with music starting at 8 p.m. Friday, April 26. Tickets for this ID-only show are $10 and $15;  https://jadepresents.com  or 866-300-8300.

Sunday

George Pfeifer has been a part of the Rourke Art Gallery + Museum, 521 Main Ave., Moorhead, seemingly since it first started almost 59 years ago. The Twin Cities painter returns for another show of watercolor and oil paintings of landscapes simply called “Recent Work.” What’s not simple is the artist’s skills with a brush and his eye for rich colors. He’ll talk about his style during a gallery talk at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 28, during a reception from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m.;  https://www.therourke.org  or 218-236-8861.
