Hallows Eve is almost here and with just 11 days left, shoppers are stocking up for the big night at Spirit Halloween in Fargo.

"Already bought three costumes, three wigs, accessories, room decor," said assistant manager, Roxann Riccardi.

But being spooky can come with a big price.

Shopper Parker Nerat said he recently bought webbing and a couple props and that, "Those were easily 60-80 bucks a piece."

He said he's easily spent $400 this year, the highest he's ever spent on the holiday so far and other people in the store seemed to have similar spending habits.

"It'll definitely be closer to 100 with the costumes," said shopper, Ashley Harris while shopping for costumes for her 6-year-old daughter, Ava, and her 4-year-old son, Owen, who wants to be Bumblebee from the movie "Transformers."

"Autobots, transform and roll out," said Owen in his costume.

Even if Halloween is spendy, Harris says it's all worth it.

"Definitely seeing the kids get out there and have fun and trick or treating and just being able to run around and be free," she said.

If you don't want to splurge and break the bank this year, you can try other, cheaper methods.

"Sometimes we'll end up buying pieces and making the rest at home or something if it's really expensive," she added.

You can also wear the same costume you wore before if you don't want to buy a new one.

"Reusing costumes, just getting new accessories and stuff like that," said Riccardi.
