FARGO — Police arrested three adults and two juveniles Wednesday, June 3, in connection with Saturday’s unrest in downtown Fargo.

Seventeen people have now been arrested in connection with Saturday's riot, which followed a day of mostly peaceful protests marking the death of George Floyd, who died in the custody of Minneapolis police on May 25, sparking protests and riots across the country.

On Wednesday, Chelsie Leann Eggers, 27, was arrested on suspicion of arming rioters, a Class B felony.

Andrew Paul Uglem, 26, and Tuyisenge Santi, 24, were also both arrested on suspicion of arming rioters and conspiracy to commit criminal mischief, also Class B felonies. All three adults are from Fargo.

Police also arrested on Wednesday two juveniles for armed rioting and conspiracy to commit criminal mischief.

Ten people have now officially been charged in connection to the riots, with a Moorhead man on Wednesday becoming the third person facing felony charges after papers were filed.

Abdimanan Habib, 21, of Moorhead, was charged in Cass County District Court with arming rioters, endangering by fire or explosion, and conspiracy to commit criminal mischief, all felonies.

He also faces misdemeanor charges of engaging in a riot and disobeying public safety orders under riot conditions.

According to court documents filed in Habib's case:

During the upheaval in downtown Fargo Saturday evening, Habib was seen picking up a bottle and lighting a white object sticking out of the top of the bottle before throwing the bottle toward police.

The court documents say the object thrown appeared to be a Molotov cocktail, or at the very least a glass bottle.

Also, surveillance footage showed Habib inside JL Beers as other people were looting and damaging the store, according to court documents, which added that Habib can be seen in the surveillance footage jumping on a countertop and grabbing a bottle of milk before leaving the store.

JL Beers suffered more than $20,000 in damage during the violence Saturday, the court documents said.
