SIOUX FALLS, S.D. — The Fargo Post 2 legion baseball team beat Sioux Falls West 10-6 to finish 3-0 in pool play, then defeated the Gillette Dragons 3-1 in the quarterfinals of the Dakota Classic Saturday night.
Post 2 found themselves down 6-1 before putting together nine unanswered runs to advance to the quarterfinal stage.
Brandt Kolpack went 3-for-3 with two runs and four RBIs to lead Post 2, while Cole Hage had two RBIs and a triple.
In the quarterfinal game, Post 2 scored a run in the fifth and sixth inning to pull away from Gillette.
Colton Frey registered three hits, while Jonas Sanders had one RBI.

Fargo Post 2 (10-1) will play Pierre Post 8 (11-7) in the semifinal round Sunday.
