SIOUX FALLS, S.D. — The West Fargo Post 308 Patriots took care of business Saturday afternoon, defeating the Renner Kings 7-0 in the final pool play game at the Dakota Classic legion baseball tournament.
Brayden Jacobson had two hits, while Ryan Reynolds and Alex Urlaub each totaled two RBIs for the Patriots.
Dustin Mertz was utterly dominant on the mound for West Fargo (8-2), pitching a complete game shutout, while striking out 11 Renner batters.
The Patriots finished 2-1 in pool play and will play in the consolation games Sunday.
