Fargo Jets edge Bismarck in state Senior Babe Ruth opener

VALLEY CITY, N.D. — The Fargo Jets scored four runs over the first two innings to fuel a 6-4 victory against the Bismarck Reps on Tuesday, Aug. 4, in the first round of the North Dakota Class A Senior Babe Ruth baseball state tournament.

Mitch Runcorn, Calvin Clasen and Dan Christianson had two hits each for the Jets. August Grothmann added a hit and an RBI. Dylan Erholtz pitched 4 2/3 innings, allowing two runs (one earned) on two hits to pick up the victory. Clasen pitched one scoreless inning to earn the save.

Miles Stiefal led Bismarck going 2-for-2 and scoring one run.
