Estate agency group expands in Essex and Hertfordshire

Estate agency group Hunters has added four new branches in Essex and Hertfordshire to its portfolio.

Mullucks Wells, which has offices in Bishop's Stortford, Epping, Great Dunmow and Saffron Walden, has become part of the Hunters Group.

The branches will remain independently owned and continue to trade under the Mullucks Wells name, but will be rebranded as 'Mullucks, part of Hunters'. Existing directors Richard Roberts, Jo Wilson, Daniel Galati and William Wells will remain at the helm.

Richard Roberts, managing director of Mullucks Wells, said: "We're delighted. Our experienced local teams and the excellent service they have become renowned for will be strengthened further by the benefits of a nationwide network offering. Hunters is a great cultural fit for us and it represents an important part of our continued growth.

"We identified Hunters as a business that not only shared our traditional values of local expertise with a strong emphasis on customer service, but also as one which excelled in the fields of training and technology, two areas that will be critical as the property industry continues to evolve."

Glynis Frew, chief executive of Hunters Property, added: "Our growth plans for 2019 continue to take shape and we're really pleased to be welcoming the team at Mullucks Wells. Richard and his team share a similar set of values upon which Hunters was founded and has retained as a crucial part of its business ever since. Expansion within Essex and Hertfordshire is an important strategic move for us and we're delighted to have franchise partners of this calibre on board."

Mullucks Wells has been operating throughout Essex and Hertfordshire for over 28 years, launching its first branch in Bishop's Stortford in 1991.

Hunters opened its first office in York in 1992 and first franchising branch in 2006. It now has more than 200 branches across the UK.
