Refurbishment and new name for Durham pub

A Durham city centre pub has been relaunched under a new name following a £240,000 investment which has created five new jobs.

The Three Bridges is now open at the site of the former William Hedley on North Street.

The renovated venue offers live sport on new TVs and projector screens, as well as an upgraded outdoor area.

General manager Scott Guy has also overhauled the pub's menu and extended the range of ales and spirits available.

Guy said: "We are incredibly excited to relaunch our pub to the people of Durham as The Three Bridges.

"The new name brings an amazing new look for our interior and exterior, a great selection of well-priced food and an enviable range of gins, rums and whiskeys. We look forward to welcoming everyone in."
