Cullimore Dutton buys Chester firm

Cullimore Dutton Solicitors has acquired a fellow Chester firm.

Established by Phil Yates in 1994, Yates & Co is an independent mortgage, pensions and investments adviser.

The founder, investment adviser Gareth Williams and two administrative support staff have moved across to our White Friars-based premises and now function under the Cullimore Dutton brand.

It is the latest move in what has been a "transformative modernisation programme" for Cullimore Dutton which began in 2016. This period has seen changes implemented across all areas.

Managing director Andrew Wright said: "We have provided expert legal and financial advice for our high net worth clients' private and business affairs for many years now and feel the time is right to further extend our strategic wealth management provision and investment planning advice. Expert mortgage advice was the missing link.

"Bringing in a first-class mortgage adviser with Phil's credentials perfectly complements both our residential property department and existing in-house independent financial adviser."

Yates added: "Cullimore Dutton is a traditional family law firm with impeccable credentials and a very modern and dynamic approach to doing business. I know that will resonate with our existing clients.

"I look forward to this exciting new chapter under the Cullimore Dutton brand and helping the firm's clients achieve their personal finance ambitions."
