£6m deal for Wakefield warehouse

£6m deal for Wakefield warehouse

A 70,000 sq ft distribution warehouse unit in Wakefield has changed hands in a £6m deal brokered by Commercial Property Partners (CPP).

Columbia Threadneedle acquired the Normanton-based premises from DHL Supply Chain Ltd.

Located on Waindyke Way on Normanton Industrial Estate, the 73,245 sq ft warehouse forms part of an 9.8-acre site which is situated just a quarter of a mile from J31 of the M62, and in close proximity to Wakefield town centre, Pontefract and Leeds.

Roger Haworth, partner at CPP, said: "Located in close proximity to Leeds, and within easy reaching distance of the M62 and M1 motorways, this unit is situated in one of Yorkshire's central business hubs, surrounded by notable tenants such as Asda, Haribo and Argos.

"We are delighted to have advised DHL on another successful deal. Interest in the unit once brought to market was significant given its features, size and location, and its quick sale serves to highlight the continued demand for industrial and warehouse investment premises in Yorkshire."
