According to a report from Adam Zagoria, Indiana has offered a scholarship to class of 2019 Montverde (Fla.) guard Harlond Beverly.

Beverly, a 6-foot-4 guard, is originally from Farmington Hills, Michigan and played at Southfield Christian, but transferred to Montverde for his final prep season. He’s ranked the No. 80 prospect nationally in the 2019 class, according to the 247Composite.

Rivals.com national analyst Corey Evans addressed the latest with Beverly’s recruitment earlier today:

Beverly sits as one of the top guard prospects available and has seen a number of respected programs enter his recruitment in recent weeks. Baylor and Xavier have been involved for the longest, dating back to his sophomore year, but Miami has caught his eye where he could visit the ACC program in the coming weeks. Iowa State and Utah just offered and could pursue further, as Georgia, Indiana and Virginia are have invested some time with him.

Beverly will likely not commit until taking multiple official visits. Where he lands is up for debate as Baylor and Xavier still might have the edge, but his upcoming visits could change things prior to his signing this spring.

Indiana already has two players signed in the 2019 recruiting class in Armaan Franklin and Trayce Jackson-Davis, but is still in heavy pursuit of five-star La Lumiere wing Keion Brooks Jr.

The offer to Beverly could signal that the Hoosiers are expecting attrition this offseason beyond Juwan Morgan, Evan Fitzner and Romeo Langford.
