Indiana listed at 40/1 odds to win the 2021 NCAA championship

Indiana has been tabbed as a preseason top 25 team in some of the early rankings for the 2020-21 season and there’s optimism this could be a breakthrough season for Archie Miller in Bloomington.

In new odds released Wednesday, the Hoosiers are seventh among Big Ten teams on the board to win the 2021 national championship

Oddsmaker BetOnline released updated national championship odds for next season earlier this afternoon and moved Indiana from 50/1 back on March 16 to 40/1 as of August 5.

Here’s where BetOnline has all of the Big Ten teams (excluding Nebraska and Northwestern) in odds released August 5:

Villanova has the shortest odds to win the title at 7/1, according to BetOnline.

Other notable odds – Baylor at 8/1, Gonzaga at 9/1, Virginia at 10/1, Kansas and Kentucky at 12/1 and Duke at 14/1.

The Hoosiers return four starters from a team that finished 20-12 last season and welcome five-star freshman point guard Khristian Lander.
