A food store near Loch Ness has set up a gallery of photographs depicting animals in need of homes.
Scotmid’s Drumnadrochit store is calling on customers to support the SSPCA’s Rehoming Week.
Throughout this week, it is hosting a pop-up rehoming wall featuring animals looking for a new home from the charity's Highands and Islands centre in Inverness.
The call to action comes as more than 4200 animals in the charity's care need new homes with 57 based at the Inverness centre.
John Brodie, chief executive of Scotmid Co-operative, said over £150,000 had been raised for the SSPCA since the retailer adopted it as its charity of the year last September.
“The SSPCA is a cause close to the hearts of our members, staff and customers and, as our charity of the year, we’re eager to do all that we can to raise awareness of the great work they do," he said.
“Rehoming Week is the perfect time to highlight the plight of local animals who are looking for homes in locations where we have stores and we hope that our rehoming wall in our Drumnadrochit store goes some way towards helping these animals find fantastic new homes.”
