Man is charged in connection with deaths of two in Inverness

A MAN has been charged in connection with the deaths of two men in Inverness.

An incident at a property on Balloan Road at around 10pm on Thursday night triggered a major emergency services response.

Two men, aged 28 and 35, were pronounced dead at the scene. A 27-year-old woman was found injured within the property and taken to Raigmore Hospital for treatment.

Police say that a 23-year-old man has now been charged in connection with the deaths of two men.

The man has also been charged in connection with the injuries caused to the woman.

He is expected to appear at Inverness Sheriff Court on Monday.

Detective Chief Inspector David Hadden said: "A significant police presence will remain in the area whilst enquiries continue and I would like to thank residents for their patience and cooperation during this time.
