Inverness teenager Dobie named Glasgow Warriors' young player of the season

Jamie Dobie has been named Glasgow Warriors' young player of the year for the 2019/20 season.

The 18-year-old has made his mark in a breakthrough campaign after becoming the first player to sign for the Warriors straight from school, and the first player born after the turn of the millennium to sign at Scotstoun.

Called one of the most exciting young talents in the country by former coach Dave Rennie, Dobie made his Warriors debut against Ulster last September, with his first Pro14 appearance coming against the Cheetahs the same month.

The former Highland minis man, who was born in Inverness, was named man of the match in his first start against the Dragons in February when he left the field after 68 minutes to a standing ovation.
