The day has arrived. Queen Elizabeth II is visiting Bracknell to take a look at the new-look town centre.

The Queen is gracing the town with her presence on Friday, October 19.

During the visit, she is expected to meet the men and women who played a key role in transforming Bracknell town centre.

The Queen will tour The Lexicon during the visit, with crowds given the opportunity to see her at vantage points in the shopping centre.

She is due to be welcomed by James Puxley, the Lord Lieutenant of Berkshire, before meeting Councillor Paul Bettison OBE, the leader of Bracknell council and council chief executive, Timothy Wheadon.

It's not the first time the Queen has come to Bracknell and the surround area.

On previous visits, she has opened the Look Out Centre and surveyed both Bracknell and Wokingham College and the Ravenswood Village for those with disabilities.

She should be in the town for late morning, so whether you are in Bracknell for this momentous occasion, or are unable to make it but still want a slice of the action, you can get updates in our live blog below.
