Electrical appliances and joinery tools worth an estimated £8,000 have been stolen during a number of burglaries in Armagh.

Police said four properties in the Spring Meadows area of the Hamiltownsbawn Road were targeted "at some stage" on Tuesday night or early yesterday morning, and "a significant number of items taken".

Among the items taken was electrical appliances worth an estimated £6,000 and £2,000 worth of joinery tools.

Items taken include boilers, cookers, radiators and dishwashers.
