3 killed, 1 injured in Madison County crash Sunday morning

Three people were killed and one was injured in a two-vehicle crash in Madison County on Highway 70 early Sunday. 

John Rickman, 29, of Cedar Grove was traveling east on the highway around 3:30 a.m., according to the Tennessee Highway Patrol incident report. Rickman's vehicle crossed the center line and struck another vehicle, carrying three people, head-on.

Rickman was killed in the crash. Jeffrey Ridgely, 45, of Lavinia and Kenneth Erlitz, 19, of Jackson were also killed. Sydney Ridgely, 18, of Lavinia was injured.
