Ticket Tracker: Chris Brown books Jacksonville show

Controversial R&B singer Chris Brown has scheduled an Aug. 30 show in Jacksonville.

Tickets for Brown’s Indigoat Tour, which includes opening acts Tory Lanez, Ty Dolla $ign, Joyner Lucas and Yella Beezy, go on sale at noon Friday. The show will be at VyStar Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena. No ticket prices were released.

Brown is a Grammy winner and is credited with selling more than 100 million albums. The tour is in support of his new record, “Indigo.” “No Guidance,” a new collaboration with Drake, was released this week.

But he’s been surrounded by controversy for much of his career, with charges involving domestic violence and assault, including an arrest after a South Florida show last year. Brown was detained by police in January in Paris on allegations of rape and drug infractions, according to the Associated Press. The investigation is ongoing; Brown denies the allegations.
