Grease is the word, or at least it will be in December when John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John visit Jacksonville for a sing-along version of their 1978 musical hit "Grease."

Travolta and Newton-John will be on hand for a screening of the film on Sunday, Dec. 15, at Daily's Place. They'll do a post-movie Q&A from the stage and a meet-and-greet for as many as 150 fans.

Travolta played carefree bad boy Danny Zuko and Newton-John was the innocent Sandy in the film, set at fictional Rydell High. The soundtrack sold more than 14 million copies in the U.S. and included hit singles "Grease," "Summer Nights," "Hopelessly Devoted to You," "Greased Lightning" and "You're the One That I Want."

Travolta nearly brought Danny back to life in 2017 at the Welcome to Rockville festival in Jacksonville when hard rock band the Foo Fighters played "You're the One That I Want" and called him onstage. He waved to the crowd but wouldn't sing along that night.

In a release announcing "Meet 'N' Grease," Travolta said it will be a "first." They'll do the same event in West Palm Beach and Tampa before the Jacksonville show.

"Olivia and I wanted to present the opportunity to meet Danny and Sandy in-person with the movie Grease Sing-A-Long, photo op and Q&A,” he said in the release.

A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Olivia Newton-John Cancer Wellness & Research Centre.

“'Grease' holds such a special place in my heart that when John and I talked about this reunion I was excited,”  Olivia Newton-John said in the release. “The film finds a new generation of fans each year and now 41 years later it will be great to have the chance to meet some of them in person.”

General admission tickets, which go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday through Ticketmaster, are priced at $59-$125. Meet-and-greet VIP tickets are listed on Ticketmaster at $1,009.75. No more than 150 meet-and-greet VIP tickets will be sold for the event.
