A 21-year-old man shot and killed Monday night at a home in Mandarin has been identified as Cameron Richard Keyser, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.

Keyser's death in the 9900 block of South Hood Road has been initially ruled a homicide pending criminal, justifiable or excusable classification due to the need for more information, the Sheriff's Office said.

Officers were called about 6:30 p.m. to the home south of Lourcey Road where Keyser was dead. Police did not say if Keyser lived in the home, but said others were there when it occurred.

Keyser was a member of the Modern Mustangs of Jacksonville car club, and its members have planned a candlelight "Cam's Meet" memorial at 8 p.m. Saturday at the Arby's restaurant at 11190 Beach Blvd. One club member called his death "heart-breaking" on the car club Facebook site.
