The identities of Jacksonville's latest homicide victims have been released by the Sheriff's Office, two of them killed within a half hour of each other only 5 miles apart Monday night.

Dazel Marquis Rashad, 21, was shot to death about 3:30 p.m. Sunday outside the Speedway food store at 2909 W. Beaver St. as children played in nearby Woodstock Park, the Sheriff's Office said. A dark-gray Nissan Maxima or Altima with tinted windows and recent body repair work sped away from the scene.

Officers were called to the first of Monday's two homicides just before 9:30 p.m. in the 500 block of West 26th Street in Brentwood Park, where 22-year-old Malik Devon Riley was located dead inside a parked car, the Sheriff's Office said.

Then just after 10 p.m., officers were called to a shooting in the 3600 block of Clyde Drive to find 28-year-old Rodriquez Quartez Campbell dead in a front yard, the Sheriff’s Office said. Detectives interviewed a number of people at the scene, and the Sheriff's Office's website indicates an arrest was made, but no names were initially released.
