Jacksonville police are investigating the shooting of a man Saturday afternoon who apparently drove himself to a shopping center parking lot and left his car before seeking medical help.

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office told First Coast News, the Times-Union's news partner, that the victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries, and walked into a local hospital about 2:20 p.m.

The victim wasn't cooperative with police who hadn't determined the motive or location of the shooting, First Coast News reported on Twitter.

Sheriff's Office crime scene investigators could be seen photographing a black Dodge Challenger in the parking lot near the Winn Dixie at Oceanway Crossing shopping center, 12333 West Sago Ave.

The car had a bullet hole on the driver's side of the front windshield up near the roof.
