1 dead in home invasion

A 55-year-old man is dead following a Friday afternoon shooting in the 2000 block of Grand Street in North Jacksonville, according to the Sheriff's Office.
Officers responded to reports of a home invasion about 3:45 p.m. at a home in the Riverview community off Lem Turner Road to find the man dead from a gunshot wound, investigators told Times-Union news partner First Coast News.
No more information was available from the shooting scene as investigators spoke to witnesses, police said.
